ABOUT US

The 7th Nottingham Scout Group are based on the Goose Fair site just up from the Forest tram stop and we are the only Scout Group in the city that has all 5 Scouting Sections meet at out Headquarters

History

The Group was formed November 14th 1938 and was based on Trafalgar street in Radford. In the mid sixties we moved from Trafalgar street into our current Home on the Goose Fair site which we called Trafalgar Lodge. Our group Necker (or scarf) has a picture of HMS Victory from the battle of Trafalgar to depict this.

2013 marked the Groups 75 Birthday and may special events were planned to help celebrate this milestone including a group 75 party with members past and present.

2017 saw us celebrate 50 years of serving doughnuts on the goose fair which is our groups main fund raiser.

For this we transformed our stall to a sparkling golden colour to celebrate this fact.

What we offer

We are a very successful Scout Group that holds regular camps both at home and abroad and we run an adventurous, exciting and challenging program of activities design to push and test the children into developing to their full potential, but at the same time offering fun and friendship.

Our aim to make sure that members of each section have a fun and enjoyable time whilst making friends and learning new skills which helps them to grow and develop.
