Goose Fair is upon us

Its getting to that time of year where the Scout hut is transformed into a refreshment centre amid the bust hive that is goose fair. Once again the fair has been extended to 10 days this year and we are calling upon the leaders and parents to make sure we have enough people to man the stalls to make sure we can make as much money as possible from our only fund raiser of the year. If you haven't already let us know when you can cover, sheets are still in the hall or speak to your section leader.

Top Awards for Explorer pair

Its been a while since any of the Explorer Section had gain the top award known as the Chief Scout Platinum Award so it was very to to not only buck that trend with the presentation of 1 award but 2, Congratulations to Explorers Jake and Lewis on obtaining this award, we know how much hard work you have put in and couldn't be prouder of you both.

Its not everyday members of your group re selected to take part in a world Jamboree, we were fortunate enough to have 2 young people Be selected as part of Nottinghamshires unit 16 contingent but not only that our GSL PK was also selected to be the unit leader. After over 2 years of planning, fund-raising and stressing ab out details that camp went off in July. They Joined of 40,000 Scouts from all over the world for 19 days of memories that will last a life time.
